Who we are.

This web site is a partnership between Greg Bond and Wade Swinford. Greg was born in 1964, and has lived in Ridgecrest, CA since 1969. He has been employed by the U.S. Navy as a civilian since he was 21 years old. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and a Master of Science in Administration, both from California State University Bakersfield.

Greg says,"An atheist until 1990, I came to a belief in God because I am an alcoholic, and one traumatic night He removed the obsession to drink from me. I prayed to the God that I didn’t even believe in (and told Him so, too!) because I had nowhere else to turn, and He immediately answered my prayer. I have believed in God, and have not had a drink of alcohol nor the craving to drink, since that night.

After investigating various religions and religious beliefs for a couple years, I became convinced that the Bible is God’s written Word, and I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. The thing that pushed me over the edge into a belief in Christ was the issue of fulfilled prophecy. There was no doubt in my mind that the odds against fulfilled prophecy were astronomical, but the fact was that there were all these fulfilled prophecies. After I became a believer, I began to get interested in apologetics (although I wouldn’t have been able to identify my interest with the name "apologetics" at that time!). I have never been one to blindly believe in anything – if I was going to put my trust in something, I wanted to be certain that it is trustworthy. And since I first started looking into whether or not the Bible is truly God’s Word, the evidence has clearly weighed in on the side of the Bible, and I haven’t been convinced otherwise (either by the evidence or by logical deduction). God does not call us to blind faith. In fact, He calls us to have a reasonable faith. He wants us to check things out! The Bible repeatedly entreats us to examine the facts, and not to simply take someone’s word for it. And besides, if the Bible really is from God and is the truth, then we have nothing to worry about. However, it is of utmost importance to be able to distinguish between facts and opinions. Maranatha!"

Greg has one son, Daniel, who is six years old.

Wade is Daniel’s grandfather, and proud of it. He was raised in Indiana and has lived in Ridgecrest, California for 32 years. He holds a day job as an electrical engineer for the US Navy. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Valparaiso University in Indiana, and his Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Arizona. He is currently working on a second Ph.D. in Theology.

Wade was raised in a good Christian home by believing parents, but tended to put his faith in science as he came to adulthood. He, like Greg, was strongly affected by Biblical prophecy and its correspondence with current events. This turned him back to God intellectually. Wade was born again at a renewal retreat in August of 1982, and has been a serious Bible student ever since. He has been a Bible teacher since 1989.

In his spare time Wade is active in his church, writes, and is active in renewal ministries and evangelism. He is also the author of Future Phobia . He is married to Vicki and they have six children and eight grandchildren, with two more on the way!
