THE NARROW WAY : A YOUNG |
|

Submitted by: LISA FOISY
It’s the last month of summer already! Thank you to those for signing up to work the nursery. I still have openings for this month and September. Let me know, also, if you want to be a back up on the Sunday's I am unable to work. We are growing by leaps and bounds! One Sunday we had 25 but average 10-12 a Sunday. Isn't that wonderful?
THE
NEXT MEETING WILL BE SEPTEMBER 12TH AT 6:00 PM IN THE FELLOWSHIP
HALL
The
change of schedule allows us to have a Thanksgiving Banquet (Potluck) this
year. “Come and join us,”
Ridgecrest Nazarene will be honored with two guest
speakers in August.
Speaking August 3rd
Our own LARRY BIRD is a long-time member and has
held leadership positions in this church for many years. He has been an
educator, counselor and basketball coach at the High School and Jr College
level and now coaches at PLNU. The son of a pastor, he has instilled Christian
principals in his own children. He will be an inspiration to all who hear him.
Speaking August 10th
DR.
ROGER BOWMAN preceded Rev. Jerry Ferguson as Superintendent of the Los Angeles
District. He and his lovely wife have visited Ridgecrest several times and his
messages have always been very thought provoking and inspirational. He and his
wife are now retired and attend the Murrieta Nazarene Church with Ken and Norma
Calderwood, retired, long time members of Ridgecrest Nazarene.
As
is the usual custom, Men’s Prayer Breakfasts will not meet in the summer so
that Father’s may spent quality time with their families.
The
next scheduled meeting will be the THIRD SATURDAY IN SEPTEMBER.
30 Crisis care kits were packed and shipped to National – that’s in addition to 31 flood recovery kits that were sent directly to the Oakland Church of the Nazarene in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Thanks to everyone who helped with both these projects.
We are a fellowship of believers
committed to glorifying God by lovingly obeying God's Biblical commands to live
holy lives, mature in Christ, and share His redemption message with others
through the power of the Holy Spirit.
