| City Balsam Street will have a "new look" when the city revitalizes Balsam Street as our "Downtown." This will be good for keeping business local because shoppers will want to stay in town to enjoy the new atmosphere. There will also be added parking for customers.. We thank city staff for the extra effort they put into this project. Getting comment from businesses and showing the plans was a good idea. Let's support Downtown Businesses during construction. We expect there will be a Grand Re-opening of Balsam Street and hope everyone will be able to attend.

| Federal Most Members of Congress are looking to renew their contracts. This is the time of campaigning. Most Members of Congress are looking to renew their contracts. This is the time of campaigning and previously hard-to-reach legislators are suddenly showing up at a variety of places and functions. This means that your chance of meeting your legislators (and their competition) is much greater than usual. The principle to be followed is an old one-if people understand the value of what you do, they are far less likely to pass laws that limit your ability to do it. Look for opportunities to meet with those who want to speak for you and let them know what you do and how it makes the economy work better. Congress Goes Home For Awhile |
