Windows XP Ridgenet Setup

Click here if you are using an older OS: Win95 Setup Win98 Setup

Introduction

Windows XP is a lot easier to setup the Windows 95 and 98, thanks mainly to a "dialer" setup program.

These instructions are designed to help subscribers install and configure the major portions of the Windows XP dialer. You may need to add or skip small steps depending on your computer, it's configuration, and what WinXP components have or have not been pre-installed.

Step 1

Step 1: After logging into XP

  • Click on the button and select Run.

Step 2

Step 2: Running INETWIZ

  • Type inetwiz (lowercase)
  • Click OK
INETWIZ is an easy walkthroug program that comes with XP and allows it's users to install internet connections with a friendy user interface.

Step 3: Choose your method of Connection

Step 3
  • Select
    "Connect using my phone line"
  • Click Next
Some customers's computers will skip some of the next steps. Move to the next step if your computer doesn't look like the picture on the right. If your computer does skip a test it should not effect your ability to connect.
