Possible Virus?
Just because you do not download e-mail attachments no longer means you cannot get a virus.
Since the majority of the users
on the Internet are Windows users, most viruses are written to infect Windows. That doesn't mean there are no viruses written for the Mac, they are just currently not as common. If you have a MAC it is far less likely that you have a virus.
However, for Windows users weekly checks for viruses can prevent data and sometimes hardware
loss on your computer. Just having one of the Symptoms below can mean you are currently infected.
Please Note: Having these symptoms doesn't mean you have a virus. These symptoms can also be caused by old modem drivers, failing hardware, sending a message to a e-mail box which no longer exists and static on the phone lines. Preventing viruses
