Configuring Eudora 1.5.4 for PC
Introduction
Eudora is the e-mail program distributed on RidgeNet installer disks.
There are three different versions of Eudora that RidgeNet has
distributed. This web page covers Eudora 1.5.4, which is the version of
Eudora that has been included on all 2-disk RidgeNet software
installers.
The RidgeNet Software Installer does configure Eudora based on the
Username and Real Name that is entered during the install. However, it
may at times be necessary or desirable to change this information. That
is what this web page is for. If you have any questions, please call

Step 1: Setting E-mail Address and Real Name
- Click on the
menu and select programs, then RidgeNet, and then E-Mail.
- In Eudora select Tools, then Options
- Under POP Account, enter your Username @mail.ridgenet.net, for example, help@mail.ridgenet.net
- Under Real Name, type in the name you would like to go out on e-mails you send (under the from field).

Step 2: Specifying Return Address
- Click Personal Information on the left side of the Options window.
- Enter UserNameHere@ridgenet.net or UserNameHere@ridgecrest.ca.us in the Return Address field.
- Real Name and Username, here, are optional.

Step 3: Specifying the SMTP Server
- Click Hosts on the left side of the Options window.
- Enter mail.ridgenet.net in the SMTP field.
- Leave the other boxes blank and click on OK.
You're done! That's it! Give it a try by going under the File menu and selecting Check Mail. Any new mail should be in the In-box under Mailbox
